Honestly didn't expect to like this hat as much as l do. I live in Florida, so the heat is no joke, and this thing actually makes a difference. The wide brim keeps the sun off my face really well, and the UPF 50 protection is a big plus. My favorite part is definitely the solar-powered fans. I don't have to worry about charging it all the time, and they actually help keep me cool when I'm outside doing yard work or just hanging out. It's not over-the-top, just enough airflow to make the heat way more manageable. I originally only planned on using this for yard work, but it's honestly perfect for everything outdoors-trail hiking, the beach, walks, all of it. The coverage is so good I don't even feel like I need sunglasses half the time.
Another thing I didn't expect is how well it helps with keeping bugs out of my face-between the airflow and the brim, it's been clutch. It's lightweight, breathable, and the adjustable fit is comfortable. Overall, perfect for Florida weather and definitely worth it
Ok so this hat is cool. I wanted it to be cooler, however. Literally. The setting for the solar power on the fans DOES produce some breeze, however its very light compared to the battery power option. Its better than nothing, but dont count on major breeze on solar power alone. That being said, I used this hat for 3 days and only on the last day did I need a charge so switched to solar. It definitely did its job and kept me shaded and cooler than without. It lasted 3 days of a music festival in the florida heat...so cant complain.
WE LOVE THIS HAT! Me and my husband both tried it on, fully adjustable and fits us both! Its got a pull string in the back to adjust the top part to fit both our heads. And it has a pull string to keep it on your head just under the chin. The fans are GREAT! They feel durable and lightweight but put out a good breeze. There are 3 settings, High, Medium and Low. The breeze is nice and the appearance is sleek and functional. The fans are rechargeable and easy to take off and put back on the hat. The solar part is GREAT too when were working outside all day! Overall GREAT hat and GREAT quality product.
